BERGER/LEWIS Accountancy Corporation is looking for Senior Audit Manager and Senior Audit Staff Professionals to build our For-Profit Practice.
The positions will require overseeing financial statements, compliance and cost certification audits in the areas of real estate development, construction and other organizations.
Responsibilities include: interacting closely with clients to provide audit schedule planning; developing and managing staff; working closely with partners and staff on client management and practice development.
Skills and Proficiencies:
- Management of Audits/Projects
- Responsible for all stages of audit/project, planning, field work and wrap up.
- Utilize a risk-based approach to planning and performing audits.
- Prepare financial statements with appropriate disclosures.
- Make suggestions to improve client processes and accounting procedures.
- Train, supervise, counsel and develop team members.
- Document, validate, develop tests and assess various control systems.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
- A passion for the work and a desire to grow a practice.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in public accounting.
- Solid understanding of audit and attest services with knowledge of FASB and GASB regulations.
- Experience in communicating with clients' management team.
- Ability to work within budgetary and time constraints.
