BERGER/LEWIS Accountancy Corporation is looking for Senior Audit Manager and Senior Audit Staff Professionals to build our For-Profit Practice.

The positions will require overseeing financial statements, compliance and cost certification audits in the areas of real estate development, construction and other organizations.

Responsibilities include: interacting closely with clients to provide audit schedule planning; developing and managing staff; working closely with partners and staff on client management and practice development.

Skills and Proficiencies:

  • Management of Audits/Projects
  • Responsible for all stages of audit/project, planning, field work and wrap up.
  • Utilize a risk-based approach to planning and performing audits.
  • Prepare financial statements with appropriate disclosures.
  • Make suggestions to improve client processes and accounting procedures.
  • Train, supervise, counsel and develop team members.
  • Document, validate, develop tests and assess various control systems.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
  • A passion for the work and a desire to grow a practice.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in public accounting.
  • Solid understanding of audit and attest services with knowledge of FASB and GASB regulations.
  • Experience in communicating with clients' management team.
  • Ability to work within budgetary and time constraints.
